An inductee in the Ottawa Valley Country Music Hall of Fame and one of Canada’s finest pedal steel guitarists, Al Bragg has performed worldwide with some of country music’s biggest stars. He’s shared the stage with George Jones, Conway Twitty, Charlie Pride, and The Gatlin Brothers and has appeared on CBC and CTV television series and specials [Ann Murray, Carroll Baker, Tommy Hunter and Wayne Rostad] and performed on dozens of radio shows and hundreds of recordings.
In 1981-82 Al was the music director and steel player for Carroll Baker and her group when they won 2 CCMA awards for “Best Band”. He also toured Canada and the U.S. with The Family Brown and Ronnie Prophet, and later toured Europe [and won a gold record for sales of 100,000] with South Mountain.
Al continues to be active locally in the country music scene, playing live and in studio, and producing records locally for independent artists and bands.
