the moonlight band - trio The Joy of Song - 100 Years of Popular Music
Memories become more precious as we enter the twilight of our lives. And memories of special moments in our lives are often triggered by songs that were popular at the time.
Known as The Moonlight Band, three of Ottawa’s finest musician/vocalist/entertainers perform a wide variety of songs and styles that were popular from the 1870’s to the 1970’s, featuring stellar 3-part vocal harmonies and virtuoso musicianship on six different instruments.
The Moonlight Band is:
Ann Downey – upright bass, banjo, vocals, yodeling
Al Bragg – pedal steel guitar, Dobro, vocals
Peter Forêt – guitar, vocals
"The residents had a great time and it turned into a real party down there...."
"I also wanted to let you know that I received an email from one of the resident’s family members right after the show who raved about how great it was and how much she and her mom enjoyed it."
Lauren Georgy-Yang/Activity Coordinator/Symphony at The Redwoods
"The show was fantastic and the residents loved it!
There were many inquiries after the show if we could book you with the band for a show at the Palisades. Thanks again for the great day!!"
Beth Mitchell/Activities and Volunteer Coordinator/the Palisades
