My name is Saul I’m Neanderthal
And you all think we’re smaller than average
I’ve got a cozy warm cave and a boy named Dave
He’s not too bright but he’s quite the savage
Meet my wife Plain Jane she’s my Neanderthal flame
And my second cousin by marriage
When my day is done into her arms I run
‘Cause I can’t afford a carriage
In the caves in the Rock of Gibraltar some 100,000 years ago
Lived my family and me in a great society
Of a dozen other clans or so
And on Gibraltar everybody sang oobie doop oobie doo
And on Gibraltar we were singin’ oobie doop oobie doo
Love and laugh and play in the sun all day
In my personal Garden of Eden
Paradise by the sea there’s no place I’d rather be
Except for maybe Sweden
We don’t pay rent don’t need no president
We don’t wear shirts or shoes
Just chillin’ out fishin’ I bet you’re wishin’ that
You were Neanderthal too
In the caves in the Rock of Gibraltar some 100,000 years ago
Many lessons were learned while steaks were burned
After huntin’ down a buffalo
And on Gibraltar everybody sang oobie doop oobie doo
And on Gibraltar we were singin’ oobie doop oobie doo
As Neanderthals we lived in harmony ‘bout 100,000 years ago
With a dozen other clans or so
